I noticed your mention of a YUI.NET project and I wanted to say that I have been developing a similar project (by the same name) for a while now.

For anyone interested, our project url is here: http://opensource.openbracketllc.com/yuinet/Default.aspx

Unfortunately, I am too busy to merge our project with the one mentioned, but ours is still in active development so I wanted to drop a note! :)

YUI is a great product, but is very large. I am modifying my Web and now is slow to load especially if the connection is Dial up.

Simply I am using the menus of YUI.

CSS is not valid neither.

The menus do neither function with IE8, but that is problem of Microsoft.

A practical application of the new 2.5.0 Layout Manager with resizeable panels (among other YUI elements).

Nothing special; just a quick look tool.
http://www.freemarkertool.com

Feedback welcome. Many thanks for the new LM.

I started using the YUI library 2 weeks ago. On my blog I posted my experiences getting started with JavaScript and YUI. If you have experience in some other programming languages (e.g. Java) this might be a good starting point.
