YUI London Meetup on October 16

If you’re in London, please join us for a YUI meetup on October 16 at 6:15 p.m. at the Yahoo! UK office on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Sophie Major and Christian Heilmann from the Yahoo Developer Network will be the hosts on the London side, and YUI engineers Matt Sweeney, Adam Moore and Satyen Desai will be participating by videoconference to give you a tour of (and progress report on) YUI’s upcoming 3.0 release.

Like meetups we had here in California last month, this event will be small and informal — it’s a good opportunity for us to get feedback from you on the 3.0 work, and likewise it’s a good chance for you to hear directly from some of the project’s principal developers. We hope to see you there.

After the YUI 3.x discussion via video conference, Christian and Sophie will be heading off to a local pub for more discussion and socializing.

Is there any chance of having a live video transmission from the conference? Or at least making the video available in the YUI Theater?

We are VERY interested in the upcoming YUI3, but unfortunately cannot travel to London at this time.

Michael — We don’t plan to do video for this event, no. However, we do expect to have a YUI 3.x video up in the near future on YUI Theater. It’s been shot and is in editing. I’m not doing the editing, so I can’t make any promise on the date, but I do hope to have it soon. Regards, Eric

Couldn’t make this one, but might be interested in future London meetups. Is there an iCalendar feed anywhere? The Groups on the Upcoming entry aren’t that specific.

@Andy — No, we don’t have a calendar feed, but that’s a good idea. Subscribing to YUIBlog is your best bet for now — we publish all upcoming events here. -Eric
