Yahoo! is hiring a front-end engineer for a team that builds great user experiences for millions of people. You will develop experiences alongside the best people and technologies in the industry. Work on Axis, Search Direct and other game-changing products on an agile and highly collaborative team of designers, product managers and engineers. You will develop everything from proof of concept to production quality code that demonstrates your technical expertise and provides a best-in-class user experience. Mainly you will focus on the good parts of JavaScript, both on the client as well as the server-side, while developing new and exciting search products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong object-oriented programming skills
• Strong JavaScript knowledge
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux tools and utilities
• Proficiency in test-driven front-end development
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrable widespread interest in computing science and willing to learn new skills

Optional Qualifications:

• Experience with YUI
• Experience in Node.JS
• Experience in HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience in Agile development
• 4+ years of industry experience
