Welcome to YUI Weekly, the weekly roundup of news and announcements from the YUI team and community.
We’re getting closer to releasing the next version of YUI, which will either be 3.16.0, or 3.15.1, depending on what code has landed in the library. The code freeze deadline is scheduled for March 28th. If you’re contributing any code for this release, you’ll want to get your Pull Requests in by March 25th!
Our next release is slated to go out on April 8th.
In his week’s YUI Open Roundtable, Clarence, Jerry and Andrew sat down with Lauren Tsung from Yahoo. Lauren has a CS background but is currently a Design Prototyper at Yahoo who focuses on User Experience. Their conversation focussed on ways that designers and developers can collaborate together to make better products.
Oh boy, oh boy! We released a bunch of tech talks this week that I’m excited to share with you guys!
Our very own Clarence Leung recently gave a lightning talk on Server-rendering Single Page Applications for Every Framework at BayNode. It’s a great talk that explains how to use some of the npm components that we’ve been working on in Modown in your web apps today to make them even more awesome.
Pete Hunt from the Instagram team at Facebook dropped by at Yahoo to talk about React. If you’re a YUI user and you want to learn more about React, check out this talk, including the Q&A section near the end of it.
Well, that’s a lot of stuff to add to your Youtube playlist! Hope you like it. I’ll be back in 7 days.
